INTAN JAYA - Deep in the lush highlands of Papua Tengah, a powerful story of connection unfolded on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, as the Raider Infantry Battalion 509/Balawara Yudha Kostrad Task Forces under the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA carried out a heartfelt initiative in Ndugusiga Village, Sugapa District. During their routine security patrol, the Soldiers engaged in Social Communication (Komsos) that not only ensured the safety of the area but also strengthened bonds with the local community.
A Mission Beyond Security
The 509 Task Forces, led by Lieutenant Colonel Dian Dessiawan Setyadi, have been steadfast in their commitment to addressing the fundamental needs of the communities within their operational area. Recognizing the vital role of trust and cooperation, the Soldiers utilized their patrol to connect with the residents of Ndugusiga, listening to their concerns and providing much-needed support.
While maintaining vigilance, the Soldiers distributed food supplies, a gesture warmly received by the community.
