PUNCAK - One of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, the Task Forces of the Raider Infantry Battalion 323/Buaya Putih Kostrad, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Puncak Regency, Papua Tengah Province. On Saturday, 28 September 2024, the 323 Task Forces, especially the Kotis Ilaga Post led by Lieutenant Colonel Tri Wiratno, conducted Social Communication (Komsos) conducting areal protection tasks. The Komsos activity was carried out by teaching and distributing aid packages from the Indonesian Chief of Army (Kasad) to teachers and students of the Puncak Cartenz Recovery Private Elementary School in Kimak Village, Ilaga District.
Underlining the Soldiers' steadfast dedication, the Commander of the 323 Task Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Tri Wiratno, underscored the Task Forces’ unwavering focus on the fundamental needs of the community around the Post. Therefore, on Saturday, the Soldiers utilized their regular security duty as an opportunity to engage and communicate with the teachers and students of the Puncak Cartenz Recovery Private Elementary School. The 323 Task Forces initiated the interaction to follow up on the distribution from the Kasad, General Maruli Simanjuntak, to the teachers and students of the school.
While maintaining their focus on security, the Soldiers took the opportunity to communicate in harmony with the teachers and the students. In this communication, the Soldiers conveyed the Kasad’s mandate who provided packages of school supplies and a set of musical instruments. These items were provided to support the smooth running of the teaching and learning process. In response to the package’s distribution, the Principal of the Puncak Cartenz Recovery Private Elementary School, Mrs. Karolin, responded to the distribution of the Kasad by expressing their happiness. Mrs. Karolin's impression, "Thank you, Bapak Kasad for the packages we received. We are pleased about these free packages. God always protects and blesses all Soldiers." This heartwarming response from the residents underscores the impact of the Army's efforts, as well as the unity and support in the assigned area, providing a sense of reassurance and security.
After receiving the activity report, the HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, acknowledged the 323 Task Forces’ initiative to communicate socially with the teachers and students of the Puncak Cartenz Recovery Private Elementary School and the distribution of Kasad’s packages. His words: "The 323 Task Forces' initiative is a testament to TNI's commitment to provide basic necessities for the community to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region." This acknowledgment from the highest authority in HABEMA underscores the significant impact of such initiatives on the region's development, instilling profound hope and optimism about their potential to shape the region's future positively.
